Major duties
The United States Space Force (USSF) at Los Angeles Air Force Base is searching for a Contract Performance Data Analyst for SYD 84 (GS-0501-13). Description: This position serves as a financial management analyst/budget lead in the installation's budget office, in a program or base level office, performing day-to-day funds control and management of all aspects of financial management areas including planning, formulation, justification, and execution of the assigned program requirements. SSC develops, acquires, equips and sustains lethal and resilient space capabilities. Space Systems Command supports the National Defense Strategy and the Commander of Space Operations' priorities. As the US Space Force field command responsible for developing, acquiring, fielding and sustaining resilient space capabilities to enhance joint lethality to protect the nation and its allied partners, we are aligned with vision of a lean, agile and mission-focused force as we relentlessly pursue our vision. Ideal Candidate: Bachelor's Degree with at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. GPA 3.0 and above. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band NH-02 (GS-12 equivalent). DAWIA certification in Financial Management or Industry equivalent certification is a plus. Knowledge of earned-value management analysis techniques, tools, concepts and procedures applicable to acquisition programs from inception to disposal phase. Strong knowledge of data analytics, earned-value management process, financial management, acquisition regulations, and policies. Skill in leading projects or teams, working with individuals or groups and strong ability to communicate effectively.
