CRANE ACCIDENT PREVENTION MANAGER
What you'd do
You will serve as a CRANE ACCIDENT PREVENTION MANAGER in the Lifting and Handling Department (Code 200), Training/ Accident Prevention/ Resource Management Division (Code 230), TRIDENT Refit Facility, Kings Bay (TRIREFFAC-KB), Georgia of TRIREFFAC KINGS BAY.
Major duties
You will manage the efficient use of resources to gather, assess, and analyze data, document, and identify trends in poor crane and rigging work performances, and identify instances of non-compliance. You will initiate actions to stop work, correct unsafe conditions and ensure that safe work practices are followed as situations warrant. You will negotiate and coordinate issues pertaining to the crane accident prevention program. You will plan for, coordinate and direct the day-to-day work efforts of the personnel assigned to the accident prevention team. You will monitor the status and progress of work and makes necessary adjustments. You will have knowledge of crane operations, rigging, inspection, and accident prevention programs, enabling them to immediately oversee and analyze crane and rigging performance, investigate incidents, and managing prevention programs. You will develop, manage, and coordinate, the department level assessment, analysis, and improvement of the intermediate activities (IMA) accident prevention and oversight program for crane and rigging work practices.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience recommending correct action on non-compliance issues and reverse trends, coordinating improvement initiatives, tracking actions, advising and instructing in support of programs, and intercepting and correcting poor crane or rigging operation practices. Experience investigating and analyzing personal injuries and material and equipment damage. Experience analyzing accident reports and performing job analyses statistical to control and minimizing unsafe and hazardous conditions. Experience compiling and analyzing statistical data and preparing charts, tables, and reports. Experience monitoring the status and progress of work and making necessary adjustments.
