What you'd do
About the Position: This position is located at Naval Medical Center, Defense Health Agency, Defense Health Network Pacific Rim, Directorate of Administration, Acquisition Support Division (Healthcare Contract Administration) in San Diego, CA. The position is responsible for planning, directing, and evaluating a wide range of administrative, operational, and management programs related to personal service contracts within the MTF.
Major duties
Directs the comprehensive analysis of Military Treatment Facility (MTF) programs, operations, and management systems to improve organizational contracting effectiveness. Advises Command leadership on personal service contracting program management, operational efficiency, and administrative policy to support organizational decision-making. Presents strategic briefings and project findings to senior leaders and executive committees to facilitate data-driven policy execution. Manages high-level administrative oversight of service contracts supporting the directorates to guarantee that broad program objectives are successfully executed. Evaluates subordinate work performance and provides regular administrative instruction to maintain established execution standards. Plans, schedules, and assigns analytical projects and reports to subordinates, to ensure alignment with command priorities and resource capabilities.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) analyzing service contracts to determine the efficiency and effectiveness of health care services; 2) monitoring contractor performance of health care/clinical service contracts; and 3) providing recommendations for action on contract management of health care operations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-111). Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
