NUCLEAR DIRECTOR
What you'd do
You will serve as a Nuclear Director in the Lifting and Handling Department C/700 of PSNS and IMF.
Major duties
You will provide oversight of equipment planning functions to support scheduled refueling/defueling and Special Purpose Service (SPS) equipment for the Shipyard. You will maintain a workforce of equipment maintenance, inspection, engineering, and test personnel trained to support future workload needs for maintenance of SPS equipment. You will manage the department nuclear program by representing the Lifting and Handling Department at Defueling/Refueling Plan of the Day (POD). You will review and evaluate the adequacy of the responses provided by the divisions to audits, surveillances, and Shipyard Commander (CO) items.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: overseeing nuclear program administration, equipment planning, and personal qualification programs for heavy lifting operations to ensure strict adherence to nuclear safety, quality assurance, and regulatory standards during complex waterfront or industrial projects.
