What you'd do

You will serve as an Engineer in the USW Systems Engineering and Sustainment, Unmanned and Theater Undersea Warfare Systems Department of NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV KEYPORT WA. This position is equivalent to the GS-12/13 level.

Major duties

You will provide critical advisory support, systems integration, and technical input for supportability tasking within the acquisition program. You will provide critical project leadership and technical direction for comprehensive engineering initiatives. You will perform administrative and technical oversight for a small team of full-performance professionals, junior professionals, and technical assistants. You will contribute to the development and formulation of Navy-wide policies governing Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) Target supportability, providing expert recommendations to leadership to ensure alignment with overall mission objectives. You will provide technical oversight and expert advice for obsolescence initiatives, utilizing highly specialized knowledge to identify vulnerabilities and engineer sustainable alternatives for management approval.

What you need to qualify

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09/11 grade level or ND-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional engineer performing maintenance on and/or life cycle sustainment processes for anti-submarine warfare target processes.
