THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST, Position Description Number D1065000 and is part of the ARMY AVIATION SUPPORT FACILITY 1, National Guard. This vacancy does not meet the criteria for appointment of annuitants.
Major duties
As a QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST (GS-1910-09), you will establish, develop, and implement the AASF quality assurance and reliability programs. Serves as the Quality Assurance Representative for the AASF. Work involves supervising, planning, developing, or administering quality assurance programs supporting the development, acquisition, production, use, maintenance, storage, and supply of products required by the National Guard. Such positions are primarily concerned with the systematic prevention of defects and non-conformances, the identification of unsatisfactory trends and conditions, and the correction of factors which may contribute to defective items.
What you need to qualify
Military Grades: ENLISTED, WARRANT SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have one year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade. Must have experience that demonstrated a practical knowledge in monitoring, controlling, or maintaining the quality of products or services in quality assurance, procurement, inspection, production, or other related areas. Must have specialized experience including experience, education, or training, involving principles, techniques, and accepted practices of quality assurance work (i.e., the application of statistical sampling techniques sufficient to perform assignments or preparation of technical reports on quality levels to identify specific problems); experience in the application and theory of specialization using applicable publications; experience in the preparation of technical reports on quality levels to identify specific problem areas and to recommend corrective action.
