Major duties

Serve as Supervisory Health System Administrator of the Quality Management program including medical management and evidence-based practice, risk management and clinical privileging. Ensure the data collection and reporting activities meet the scope and requirements of regulatory agencies. Analyze data to identify systematic problems and/or improvement opportunities based on published national standards that can be used for educational purposes to reduce or prevent undesired outcomes. Establish and implement long and short-term policies and budget execution plans. Provide first level supervision to program managers within the Division which includes physicians and other healthcare professionals.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience implementing a wide range of principles, concepts, and methodologies related to healthcare quality and/or management systems performing the following; 1) responsible for personal committees for long or short term execution or allocation 2) management of funds and resources 3) resolve complex health care administration issues 4) develop innovative methods to enhance efficiencies or resolve deficiencies in a health care delivery system. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
