What you'd do

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST (SECURITY OFFICER) in the INTELLIGENCE OPERATIONS DIVISION of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-05 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-13 and GS-14.

Major duties

You will manage and direct the efficient and effective operations of the branch which includes assigned personnel, budgets, hiring, discipline, process development, performance feedback, quality control and employee development. You will administer the Command's Special Access Programs (SAP) security requirements in support of engineering projects. You will maintain eligibility and access for SCI and SAP efforts and work effectively with the Special Security Officer (SSO), SAP Team Leads, Security Officers, Program Managers, and various stakeholders to provide access to the required systems. You will coordinate with the Intelligence Operations Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) and Scientific and Technical Intelligence Liaison Office (STILO) to execute robust information assurance and cyber security programs.

What you need to qualify

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector analyzing and implementing Special Access Program (SAP) security requirements to monitor physical, personnel, and information security systems, and resolve security matters in compliance with security guidelines and regulations in a Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) environment.
