What you'd do

About the position: This position will be assigned to the Bowling Center on Langley AFB, VA. This is a flexible position guaranteed 0 hours per week but can be scheduled for up to 40 hours per week.

Major duties

Accepts customer orders and rings up sales. Totals sales, processes credit card sales, receives money and makes changes. Performs food service duties such as assisting in setting up serving area, replenishes beverage dispensers and condiments dispensers. Calls customer numbers when food is ready and provides food for pick-up. May be required to serve simple alcoholic beverages, i.e., beer, wine, wine coolers, in the absence of the Bartender. Maintains the sanitation and cleanliness of the Snack Bar area, both behind the counter and in the dining area. Receives and verifies orders from vendors and stores in appropriate locations. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have experience in responsible clerical or office work which includes demonstrated ability to perform common arithmetic problems and making change when receiving payments from customers. Must also have experience in the receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit or other processing of cash items when this includes direct handling of cash items and use of cash accountability control methods. Must be able to communicate clearly with customers and possess skill in dealing with the public. Must meet the appropriate minimum are requirement for working with and/or serving alcoholic beverages.
