EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
What you'd do
You will serve as a EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR in the COMMANDER NAVSURF GRU NORTHWEST.
Major duties
You will provide oversight for implementing and validating new or revised programs; establish acceptable parameters, and reviews management implementing principles. You will review programming documents received from higher headquarters (HHQ) to determine effect on mission. You will advise the commander on the integration of HHQ policies into command and subordinate command processes. You will participate without limitation in planning and coordinating all functions essential to the accomplishment of command mission. You will assist the Deputy Commander in the performance of long-range planning of activities concerning DDGs, determining program objective development. You will direct, determine, and establish overall command position on requirements for short-and-long range plans as well as current operations. You will approve resource requirements such as budget, personnel, infrastructure, equipment, etc. and oversee command policy relative to the multi-faceted local, national, and international mission requirements. You will monitor HHQ guidance and policy changes, providing insight on external products and oversight of internal implementation regarding all programs and activities. You will conduct oversight of internal processes to ensure timely detection of policy and procedure deviation or incipient deviations and directs appropriate corrective action as necessary. You will assure policy, procedural, and administrative management and continuity of operations of command during changes in assignments of the Deputy Commander and Chief Staff Officer.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector overseeing and managing Guided Missile Destroyer (DDG) program operations by evaluating policy, planning, and resource requirements to establish long range objectives and develop new program guidelines to maintain operational readiness.
