What you'd do

This position is located at the Cheyenne River Health Center, Eagle Butte, South Dakota. A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).

Major duties

Plans and coordinates daily work tasks with hospital staff and supervisor to ensure all patient care areas are cleaned and ready for use in a timely manner. Cleans various areas such as patient rooms and bathroom, public restrooms, operating rooms, exam rooms, halls, walls, floors, furnishings, equipment, windows, offices, outside entrances etc. Responds to emergency cleaning needs such as infectious/chemical spills, flooding, etc. Wears personal protective equipment as required. Mixes and uses chemicals as per directions. Removes non-infectious and infectious waste. Follows proper infection control procedures. Stocks areas with proper supplies. Maintains, cleans, and properly stores equipment and other departmental property.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. BASIC REQUIREMENT(S): Candidates for this position will be evaluated under the Federal Wage System (FWS) Job Grading Standards. Applicants will be rated in the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the position. Each of the job elements must be addressed on the on-line assessment questionnaire in order for the applicant to be rated for the position.
