Major duties

You will serve as the FACILITY OPERATIONS SPECIALIST in the LOGISTICS AND FACILITIES DIRECTORATE (N4) at U.S. FLEET CYBER COMMAND (FLTCYBERCOM). You will serve as the subject matter expert on matters related to Fleet Cyber Command and U.S. Tenth Fleet (C10F) and oversee a facilities program encompassing 20 buildings over 5 dispersed sites. You will evaluate current sites as well as projected, near-term, budgeted future sites to determine current and projected operational requirements and staffing levels. You will oversee facility resource management and provide input into budgetary requirements. You will represent N4 by providing programing, engineering and management guidance, including program management of supply, property management, engineering, safety, contract support, communication systems, logistics, and material readiness programs.

What you need to qualify

Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by: -Experience assessing buildings and facilities, identifying emergent issues, gauging operational impacts and developing solutions using construction renovation projects. -Experience utilizing project planning, project management and technical skills in proposing strategies for improvements in facilities. -Experience conducting on-site space utilization surveys to ensure efficient use of assigned space and compliance with installation requirements. -Experience reading and interpreting floorplans and construction drawings. -Experience preparing and presenting oral and written briefs on facility readiness and challenges with current or potential impacts to operations. This position is within the Work Category PROFESSIONAL at Work Level SENIOR, Series and Grade GG-1640-13.
