What you'd do

You will serve as a HOUSING MANAGER in the FLEET AND FAMILY READINESS of NAVAL STATION EVERETT.

Major duties

You will participate in the processing of resident complaints and related investigations. You will review current expenditures and estimate projected costs. You will function as liaison with community groups and private housing owners/managers to maximize private assets availible to military. You will provide input to financial management plans for housing. You will plan, prioritize, schedule, and assign work to other staff based on difficulty of work and capabilities and grade levels of staff.

What you need to qualify

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Conducting inspections of housing facilities to evaluate the cleanliness, maintenance and habitability of the unit, furnishings, and equipment; 2) Identifying problems/deficiencies and then recommending corrective measures, changes, and improvements in housing.; 3) Counseling on the availability, type, and size of quarters available; and 4) Planning work assignments based on priorities and staff capabilities. 5) Providing briefings and orientation for incoming residents, commands, and special groups authorized to utilize housing facilities.
