What you'd do
About the Position: This position serves as a Police Officer conducting law enforcement duties and enforcing safety regulations on a major military installation to maintain order and protect life and property.
Major duties
Complete police accident reports, to include identifying, locating, and interviewing witnesses and/or suspects. Apprehend violators, obtain facts and prepare statements concerning accidents or violations. Maintain responsibility and control over crime/accident scenes by conducting investigations, gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses. Respond to and investigate emergency calls, complaints and other calls for service. Secure access to installation and building to protect personnel and property.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes examples of demonstrating knowledge of a body of basic laws and regulations; assisting with law enforcement operations, practices and techniques; gathering information and facts pertinent to an investigation; and/or maintaining order and protecting life and property. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
