What you'd do

You will serve as a PHYSICAL SECURITY SPECIALIST in the FORCE PROTECTION DEPARTMENT of NAS PATUXENT RIVER SECURITY DETACHMENT.

Major duties

You will monitor personnel to verify security and administrative duties are performed. You will perform periodic reviews and inspections of contractor facilities and associated personnel records to assess protection against espionage and control of classified material. You will resolve problems regarding Anti-Terrorism Programs to eliminate potential threats against the Agency's mission. You will analyze data to develop reports that identify system vulnerability and actions taken to resolve the issues. You will suggest solutions to problems related to Loss Prevention.

What you need to qualify

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Implements physical security surveys and checks of security locks and locking devices. 2. Uses and monitors intrusion detection systems. 3. Researches, compiles, and analyzes information by verifying facts, creating solutions and presenting recommendations. 3. Follows procedural guidelines related to Physical Security, Law Enforcement, Security Operations, Emergency Dispatch, and/or Arms, Ammunition and Explosives.
