This position is located at White Sands Missile Range - DFMWR Marketing Team, NM. The selected candidate will receive a $1000 bonus after successful completion of the first year of employment and an additional $1000 bonus after successful completion of the second year of employment.
Major duties
Provides leadership and supervision for the DFMWR Marketing Team, including team building, performance management, conflict resolution, and employee development to foster a high-performing, collaborative creative environment. Creates overarching marketing strategies and directs the development, implementation, and analysis of all marketing campaigns and publicity efforts. Establishes budget requirements and monitors budget execution for all marketing activities. Oversee digital marketing, social media, graphic design, and publications. Writes features articles and media content to promote the value and benefits of MWR programs ensuring alignment with MWR standards and consistent public messaging. Analyzes market trends and conducts research—including surveys, focus groups, and customer feedback—to identify customer needs and preferences and inform marketing strategy and program promotion. Actively markets MWR programs to secure commercial sponsorships and paid advertising. Manages the full sales cycle, including proposal development, contract negotiation, pricing, placement, and fulfillment. Serves as the primary point of contact for sponsors, advertisers and media partners.
What you need to qualify

Experience conducting research, surveys, and/or needs assessments to develop and execute marketing plans and campaigns. Experience developing and presenting sponsorship solicitation packages and proposals. Experience demonstrating skill in establishing cooperative relationships, such as with representatives of local media, community members, and military/civil service personnel. Experience leading or mentoring other marketing professionals. The above minimum qualifications must be described within the duties of previous work experience listed on the applicant's resume and/or supporting documents.
