About the Position: This position is located at Alexander T. Augusta Military Medical Center, Director for DMS, Primary Care Clinics at Fort Belvoir, VA. Hours of operation: Monday - Friday 0730-1630 This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Major duties

Serves as Practice Manager. Direct and oversee enterprise scheduling and template management activities to improve patient access and optimize clinic performance. Oversees the use of MHS GENESIS and enterprise analytics platforms to monitor clinic performance and support data-driven operational decisions. Oversees resource management and budget execution. Supervises Medical Support Assistant (MSA) staff by planning and assigning work.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Specialized Experience:I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service which includes: 1) Assisting with routine administrative support for assigned clinics to help maintain smooth daily operations. 2) Scheduling appointments; 3) Using MHS GENESIS and enterprise analytics platforms to look up information, run reports, and monitor clinical performance; and 4) Assisting with budget formulation. OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B or J.D. with a major study in hospital administration, public health administration, or related fields such as business or public administration with course work in health care administration. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
