INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST
What you'd do
You will serve as an INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the MARINE CORPS LOGISTICS COMMAND. This announcement has been amended as follows: The duties have been amended. Applicants who applied to the announcement before it was amended should review the amended duties.
Major duties
You will develop guidance for logistics systems, system modifications, ensuring integration with Marine Corps Logistics Command (LOGCOM), Secondary Reparable (SECREP) Management protocols and Accountable Property System of Record (APSR) procedures. You will brief senior leaders, Marine Corps Logistics Command (LOGCOM) site representatives, program managers regarding Secondary Reparable (SECREP) operational readiness, proposing strategic solutions to the supply chain. You will develop, refine, interpret inventory management policies, aligning with retail and wholesale level requirements from local Repairable Issue Point (RIP), Marine Corps Logistics Command (LOGCOM) Supply Management Activity Group (SMAG). You will lead analytical studies and manage quality control programs to optimize Secondary Reparable (SECREP) inventory control, retrograde processing, and receipt functions in coordination with Marine Corps Logistics Command (LOGCOM) standards You will oversee physical inventory reconciliation, maintain meticulous financial documentation for high-value assets, coordinating closely with Marine Corps Logistics Command (LOGCOM) to ensure state of Secondary Reparable (SECREP) audit readiness.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Researching/implementing improved supply methods, developing new and detailed guidelines, investigating/analyzing a variety of unusual, complex, controversial supply problems AND providing logistics support services to ensure readiness.
