About the Position: Serves as a Budget Analyst within U.S. Army Audit Agency.

Major duties

Monitors the execution of Agency budget. Identifies and analyzes trends in the receipt, obligation, or expenditure of funds to ensure plans are being met. Develop recommendations for budgetary adjustments to support unanticipated changes in program operations. Develops estimates for inclusion in all budget submissions. Provides advice and guidance to the workforce and management to resolve problems. Performs complex and comprehensive analyses to develop and prepare presentations.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Accountability Arithmetic/Mathematical Reasoning Attention to Detail Customer Service Decision Making Flexibility Integrity/Honesty Interpersonal Skills Learning Reasoning Self-Management Stress Tolerance Teamwork Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Monitoring the execution of an organization's budget with different appropriations; 2) Developing budget recommendations and viable courses of action to address shifting fiscal constraints to support the agency's operations; 3) Adjusting short and long-range budget requirements to ensure the availability of funds; 4) Analyzing the fiscal environment in all phases of Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
