FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST
What you'd do
You will serve as a Financial Management Analyst in the Commander Joint Region Marianas of COMMANDER NAVY REGION MARIANAS. A post allowance amount, (otherwise known as: COLA), of 11.88% will be added to the stated salary. Post allowance is subject to change at any time. Major duties
You will perform or advise on work in any of the phases or systems of budget administration. You will perform the functions of formulation of budget and cost estimates to support plans, programs, and activities, including presenting and defending budget estimates. You will review and evaluate budget request, control, and reporting of obligations and expenditures. You will develop, determine, and interpret of budget policies and practices. You will analyze and recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of organization's programs and administrative operations.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing excellent customer service to both internal and external customers in areas of finance and budget; 2) Effectively execute written communication to mid and higher level POCs in areas of finance and budget; 3) Using financial systems to monitor, manage, and execute budgets for operational requirements; 4) Identifying problems and errors and providing detailed solutions to resolving the issues; 5) Searching, referencing, and applying financial policies and principles to manage and execute funding; and 6) Comparing, researching, and analyzing financial data to reconcile discrepancies and/or erroneous patterns. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
