TRAINING SPECIALIST
What you'd do
You will serve as a TRAINING SPECIALIST in the SURFCOMSYSTRNCMD SAN DIEGO LS.
Major duties
You will advise on all matters pertaining to training to include training functions, curriculum development, and testing programs. You will maintain master files for all the training materials for which they have cognizance. You will monitor and/or update appropriate instructions and databases with regard to training requirements, testing programs, and quality of training. You will review and evaluate curriculum materials for technical accuracy and accomplishment of objectives. You will conduct trends analysis of instructor evaluations, prepares evaluation reports, and recommendations.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Evaluating effectiveness of existing training programs to revise ongoing programs and develop and implement new training; 2) Using knowledge of training methods, techniques, and tools to design and develop training course materials, evaluate training programs, and/or complete various special projects; 3) Evaluating and measuring instructor and student performance, providing counseling and/or special instruction and determining action required to resolve marginal performance instructor and student performance; and 4) recognizing and resolving problems, developing criteria as required, and analyzing data.
