TECHNICIAN
What you'd do
You will serve as a TECHNICIAN in the COMBAT SYSTEM INTEGRATION DIVISION, MODERNIZATION AND INSTALLATION DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER PORT HUENEME DIVISION.
Major duties
You will serve as a Senior Technician providing leadership and oversight of project teams comprised of personnel from various supporting activities and agencies. You will provide expert-level technical services related to the Integration, Test and Evaluation, and Life-cycle Engineering and Logistics support of Surface Combatant ships, their Combat Systems, Weapon Systems, and related support equipment. You will ensure the accuracy of technical tasks assigned to each availability and that planned actions and associated reports are accomplished accurately and within scheduled time frames. You will provide technical services to ensure that Combat Systems and their elements are successfully integrated on Surface Combatants during construction, availability and modernization events. You will provide technical/consultative services and training during Installation, and Check-out, Integration tests, certifications, analysis, or test/evaluation efforts at shipyards, on board ships, test sites, contractor sites, or school commands.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying technical engineering principles, methods, tools for developing, scheduling, coordinating, monitoring, evaluating and managing engineering projects and resources including technical performance to conduct the installation, maintenance, and testing of complex systems and associated facilities for a warfare program.
