ASSISTANT AIRFIELD MANAGER
What you'd do
You will serve as an ASSISTANT AIRFIELD MANAGER in the Operations Department, Air Operations Management Division of NB CORONADO.
Major duties
You will conduct daily airfield inspections and checks and report problems to Public Works for resolution. You will perform various administrative and managerial tasks. You will assist the Airfield Manager in articulating and communicating to the division airfield operations for completion of various activities. You will manage and oversee the installation's Airfield Vehicle Operators Course Program.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience conducting an airfield inspection to include surveying and inspecting: all airfield lighting, pavement conditions, pavement marking and looking for violations of apron and imaginary surfaces criteria. Experience being the point of contact for construction and special projects, ensuring minimal operational impact during major construction projects, negotiating phasing schedules, customer movement/placement and de-conflicting incompatible airfield Activities and communicating the limitation to aircrew. Experience supervising Operations Duty Officers (ODO's) by setting objectives, evaluating work, providing direction and guidance, coordinating leave and overtime and giving input on performance appraisals. Experience communicating both written and orally with management at all levels to include knowledge on how to write NOTAMS and publish airfield data in National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) and other platforms for aircrew viewing. Experience using good judgement when utilizing a variety of NAVFAC, NAVAIR, FAA and DOD guidelines and instructions.
