Major duties
You will serve as an Intelligence Operations Specialist and be responsible for ????collecting, reviewing, interpreting and evaluating first order analysis of intelligence reports, and disseminating tactical and operational intelligence to the port level operational commander and staff. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Identifies gaps in existing data and requests research or reports necessary to strengthen intelligence in those areas Conducts field intelligence collection involving visiting vessels, marinas, industrial facilities and public outdoor spaces Maintains liaisons with personnel in assigned and related fields, such as those in other intelligence agencies, law enforcement and the maritime community Coordinates results and release of information between other jurisdictions and agencies Reasonable Accommodation (RA) Requests: If you believe you have a disability (i.e., physical or mental), covered by the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 as amended that would interfere with completing the USA Hire Competency Based Assessments, you will be granted the opportunity to request a RA in your online application. What you need to qualify
To qualify at the GS-12 grade level, your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples of specialized experience include performing the following types of tasks on a regular basis. Preparing analyses to explain the implications of intelligence developments; Conducting law enforcement interviews to collect intelligence information; Preparing threat assessments, reports, and presentations detailing threat information, findings and recommendations; Engage with external customers on intelligence programs and policies NOTE: All experience statements (i.e., duties, specialized experience, or related applicable assessment) copied from this announcement and pasted into your resume will not be considered as a demonstration of your qualifications for this position.
