What you'd do

You will serve as a SUPERVISOR in the ORGANIZATIONAL IMPROVEMENT (CODE 53208) of NAVWARSYSCEN PACIFIC SAN DIEGO CA.

Major duties

You will be responsible for providing supervision, technical leadership, planning, program development, financial oversight, coordination and management of all aspects of the tasks, services, personnel and facilities assigned to the branch. You will match branch personnel to tasks and ensure projects and individual tasks are coordinated and meet the needs of C2 projects and NIWC Pacific. You will draw on experience with Project Management, Contracts, Procurement, and Organizational Processes to provide direct support to division C2 projects and tasks. You will perform work requiring professional knowledge of C2 systems and produce critical analyses and evaluations of the ramifications, advisability, and impact to projects. You will advise, administer, or perform professional engineering work to include but not limited to design, development, analysis of computer hardware, systems, software etc. as related to command-and-control applications and systems. You will administer, or perform professional scientific work of a mathematical, statistical, or actuarial nature. You will advise, administer, plan, monitor/oversee, perform scientific inquires and analysis, and research of systems or system components across the entire acquisition life cycle. You will design, development, implementation and sustainment of integrated computer systems using knowledge of (1) computer software concepts such as data representation, data structures, files systems, operating systems, computer languages etc.

What you need to qualify

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band NM-03 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing technical and project management oversight; independently analyzing, designing, and/or executing organizational process improvement initiatives; applying knowledge of acquisition/procurement life cycle processes; and contributing to the improvement or correction of C2 system performance.
