About the Position: This position is located at 56th Medical Group, Luke Air Force Base, Arizona. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation.
Major duties
Assist the Group Practice Manager (GPM) with the development, implementation, and tracking of short-range and long-range goals. Monitor the team's business plan performance through statistical analysis of workload, population demand, and team operations. Use databases to pull standardized reports, analyze basic data, and provide recommendations and information to the team leader, GPM, and Executive Staff. Analyze resource utilization, customer satisfaction, team synergy, and coding accuracy and timeliness. Use a variety of process improvement, automation, and staff/space allocation techniques from guidelines to enhance services and team performance. Work along with Military Treatment Facility (MTF) Patient Advocate to address patient concerns related to access to team's medical care. Coordinate with the Referral Management Center to ensure patient specialty appointments are scheduled and results received by appropriate Primary Care Manager (PCM).

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes participating in strategic planning for operational efficiency, using an electronic medical records database to provide administrative support, and coordinating patient health services. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-6). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.
