SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST
What you'd do
You will serve as a Supply Management Specialist within US NAVAL BASE GUAM.
Major duties
You will review supply programs to determine overall effectiveness and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, agreements, and policies. You will recommend and establish options and alternatives such as the consolidation of programs, procedures, processes, and functions. You will analyze applicability of guidelines to specific circumstance and proposed regulatory or procedural changes designed to improve the effectiveness or efficiency of supply controls and/or system features. You will supply program relationships to plan for ongoing and proposed support requirements, determine and arrange for mission and supply systems changes.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Performing material management, stock control, and inventory accountability. 2. Applying practical knowledge of transportation operations, including freight shipping, carrier selection, and resolving inventory or delivery discrepancies. 3. Managing a government purchase card and maintaining accurate audit trails in automated computer databases. 4. Coordinating the transfer, storage, and distribution of materiel, as well as handling the proper disposal of hazardous waste and excess equipment to DRMO. 4. Serving as the central point of contact for all Port Operations procurement and logistical problem-solving.
