SUPV GENERAL ENGINEER
What you'd do
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY GENERAL ENGINEER in the STAFF CIVIL ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT of MARINE CORPS AIR STATION MIRAMAR.
Major duties
You will direct, monitor and administer a professional staff consisting of architects, engineers and technicians. You will provide technical guidance to an engineering/technical branch to ensure support of assigned products. You will define problems and analyze alternatives, recommend solutions to assess field performance and provide advice to field personnel. You will manage branch finances to ensure proper utilization and preclude over expenditures. You will prepare, submit and justify the branch's tasking agreements with other commands. You will plan work to be accomplished, set priorities and approve work schedules.
What you need to qualify
I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: Planning and programming infrastructure life-cycle management projects at an installation level. Implementing comprehensive utility and energy management programs, including project development, budget, energy conservation and consumption.
