What you'd do
This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Medicare Drug Rebate and Negotiations Group (MDRNG). As Supervisory Health Specialist (GS-0107-14), you will serve as a Deputy Director assisting with leading analytics to implement the Medicare Drug Price Negotiation and Inflation Rebate Programs under the Inflation Reduction Act and support vital Medicare initiatives with data-driven insights and leadership.
Major duties
Providing authoritative technical expertise and staff oversight of data analysis and research tasks required to implement a Medicare Drug Price Negotiation Program and the Medicare Prescription Drug Inflation Rebate Program. Leveraging mastery of a wide range of laws, policies, regulations, precedents, legislation, issues, and program goals, including current trends and initiatives, to develop and implement new analytical approaches. Conducting research and analysis and serving as a technical authority on critical operational matters related to policies necessary to assure appropriate implementation of the Negotiation and Inflation Rebate Program and related legislation. Leveraging sophisticated analysis of a variety of data sets to support implementation of drug price negotiations and inflation rebates.

In order to qualify for the GS-14 , you must meet the following: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one year (52 weeks) of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal government, obtained in either the private or public sector, to include: (1) Conducting claims-based analyses of drug pricing data to support healthcare program and/or policy decisions; (2) Analyzing Medicare claims data, including format, structure, known limitations, and pricing, to inform program recommendations; (3) Leading teams conducting drug pricing analyses by assigning work, reviewing analytic methods and outputs, and/or resolving technical issues; and (4) Briefing leadership on technical and analytic drug pricing findings to inform healthcare program strategy, operations, and/or policy decisions. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Time-in-Grade: To be eligible, current Federal employees must have served at least 52 weeks (one year) at the next lower grade level from the position/grade level(s) to which they are applying.
