What you'd do
You will serve as a Financial Management Analyst in the Comptroller Department - 700 of SUPSHIP GULF COAST. Major duties
You will perform or advise on work in any of the phases or system of budget administration including formulation of budget and cost estimates to support plans, programs, and activities. You will present and defend budget estimates before authorities, review and evaluate budget requests, control, and reporting of obligations and expenditures. You will analyze and recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of the organization’s programs and administrative operations. You will provide advice on effective and efficient methods for the acquisition and use of funds to support the organization’s programs and activities. You will identify, analyze and resolve a range of budgetary problems such as development of alternative methods of funding.
What you need to qualify
For the GS-12 Grade Level: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector conducting financial analysis related to budget formulation, evaluating budget requests, monitoring obligations and expenditures, or interpreting budgetary policies and practices for organizational programs. For the GS-11 Grade Level: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector assisting in the analysis budget requests, financial documentation, or monitoring obligations and expenditures in support of organizational programs.
