Major duties
You will perform Software Systems Engineering oversight as a Technical Representative at the manufacturer’s sites in support to PAE Munitions and Missile Defense Agency for the Sea Based Terminal (SBT) and SM6 BLK 1A SWUP and SM6 BLK 1AU programs. You will review the development and witness the execution of tests to ensure software meets documented user requirements. You will perform analysis of systems modeling, simulation, and software test data and support the identification and resolution of software problems. You will provide technical assessment, fact-finding and information reporting (written reports and presentations) throughout product life cycle. You will perform assessments of logic design, I/O design, firmware development, model formulation, computer architecture analysis and design, and analog or digital systems engineering, and product quality assurance.
What you need to qualify
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09-11) or pay band (DP-03) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector in order to perform the duties of an Interdisciplinary Engineer/Scientist. Specialized experiences must include duties related to the following: (1) Project Management experience including ability to formulate and communicate overall project objectives and coordinate project scope and requirements. 2) Ability to review, interpret, and make technical recommendations on software documentation regarding missile designs, test equipment, and maintenance processing facilities.3) Knowledge of contracts and policies to support Standard Missile procurements.4) Experience in an applicable software development environments or DoD environment.5) General understanding of software development best practices and processes.
