What you'd do

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY CONTRACT SPECIALIST in the PROCUREMENT GROUP of NAVAL AIR SYSTEMS COMMAND.

Major duties

You will oversee contracts by monitoring contract performance, preparing modifications, and determining the necessary course of action to comply with terms. You will obtain and analyze audits, technical evaluations, and pricing reports to develop negotiation strategy. You will advise employees on technical and administrative matters to achieve organizational operational objectives. You will brief leadership on the progress achieved toward meeting program objectives. You will perform planning and solicitation development for highly complex and highly technical contract requirements.

What you need to qualify

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 (GS-13/14) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Scheduling, processing, administering, and reporting of all procurement actions planned to be executed by the team; 2) Leading teams in planning, preparing, and executing of contract actions assigned; 3) Negotiating of contract price and terms and conditions, and ultimately contract award and subsequent administration of hardware sole source major weapons systems contracts; 4) Planning, advertising, negotiating, and awarding procurements; 5) Guiding and leading individuals and teams in large hardware and major weapons system sole source procurements with thorough understanding of large contracts, contracting policy and regulations.
