About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and assigned to the Outdoor Rec / Rec Lodging Facility. This position is assigned to the Drug Demand Program, incumbent must be minimum of 18 years of age, subject to initial /random drug testing Physical output for position is medium to heavy work, prolong standing, bending and walking with ability to lift, move and carry items up to 50 pounds Position subject to irregular tour of duty to include evenings, weekends / Holidays

Major duties

The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of simple cleaning tasks associated with lodging and camping operations. Maintains Wingo Lodge rooms, cabins, camping facilities in an orderly manner. Vacuum clean rugs and draperies. Sweeps, mops, strips, scrubs, waxes and polishes floors using industrial type power equipment. Adjusts and changes buffers, brushes and other attachments on power equipment. Dusts, waxes, and polishes furniture. Dusts ledges and woodwork. Empties ash trays, wastebaskets and trash cans of the surrounding area. Polishes door knobs and other metal fixtures. Cleans glass partitions, inside and outside windows, using step ladders and extension ladders. Cleans mirrors and water fountains. Maintains bath houses at Crockett Cove, FamCamp and the ALC Beach. Services pavilions on the beach at ALC, FamCamp, Crockett Cove and Dogwood Ridge. Replaces deodorizers, toilet tissue, hand towels and soap. Reports water leaks, clogged drains, and other conditions requiring maintenance to supervisor. Maintains supply of cleaning materials and advises supervisor when more supplies are needed, or when equipment needs repair or replacement. Drives a government vehicle in relation to daily responsibilities governing the Outdoor Recreation areas of responsibilities. Uses a government computer to complete ancillary training requirements. Performs laundry for the Wingo Lakeside Lodge, Crockett Cove and Dogwood Ridge Cabins when required. Performs seasonal tasks as required: such as applying ice control material to building entrances, shoveling snow, picking up litter around buildings, mowing grass, and watering lawns around buildings. Performs monthly inventory of sundries, cleaning supplies, and linens. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifying Experience: Must = Relevant on Resume Must have experience in the proper use of cleaning and sanitizing solutions. Must be able to clean and make adjustments to powered cleaning equipment. Must be able to perform the full range of cleaning duties. Must be able to follow oral and/or written instructions involving duties with several distinct tasks or steps. Must be able to work independently. Must be able to climb a ladder.
