What you'd do

THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST -T5, Position Description Number T5902800 and is part of the WI 115 LRS, Wisconsin Air National Guard. This position is in the Exceptive Service "under the authority for Title V, P.L. 114-328, Sections 932 and 1084 (FY17 NDAA)"

Major duties

Serves as the program manager for the Deliberate and Crisis Action Planning and Execution Segments (DCAPES), Contingency Operations/Mobility Planning and Executive System (COMPES), Logistics Module-Base Level(LOGMOD-B), Automated Air Load Planning System (AALPS), and Cargo Movement Operations System (CMOS). At the direction of and in conjunction with, the Logistics Officer, identifies required deployment/redeployment support with the wing staff, serving as the NCOIC of the Redeployment Assistance Team (RAT), Air Mobility Command (AMC), and Air Combat Command (ACC) for the transportation of equipment and personnel. Reviews resource/logistics plans, programs, and deployment activities with the senior officer to insure authorized mobility equipment is available or on order, and assures that the equipment is properly budgeted. Maintains and analyzes the correlation of data between the Unit Type Code (UTC)Management Information System (UMIS), Designed Operational Capacity (DOC) statements, and all applicable plans for all wing and supported units for readiness reporting and tasking. Provides technical logistic plans support at staff meetings and working groups conducted by the Wing/Air Commander and staff. Resolves logistical problems as they occur. Monitors status of WRM posture for the wing and provides guidance and assistance to units. *** This is NOT an all-inclusive list of duties. ***

What you need to qualify

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training involving judgment and/or analytical ability in the logistics field. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: To qualify for the GS-0346-11 level you must have 1-year specialized experience, education or training equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Must have experience, education, or training which includes identifying activities involving logistical support operations. Experience integrating the actions of a variety of specialized support activities in order to develop a comprehensive logistics plan. Experience monitoring such functions as program planning, resource and fiscal management, training, manpower management, and/or automated data processing to meet the logistics plan. Experience identifying delays or problems and developing corrective actions. Experience with logistics planning such as assisting planners with logistics functions to support the planning of exercises and movements. Experience with program management of Ready Airmen Training. Experience being the point of contact for readiness reporting across key defense systems. Experience with systems such as DCAPES, DRRS/AFIT, and AFFORGEN Connect-Envision preferred by not required. Able to analyze data for critical deployment data, including Time-Phased Force and Deployment Data (TPFDD), Mobility Orders (MOBORDS), Deployment Orders (DEPORDS), and other related products.
