SUPPLY TECHNICIAN
What you'd do
You will serve as a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN in the FACILITIES DIVISION, FACILITIES AND LOGISTICS SERVICES SECTON (FLSS) of MARINE CORPS BASE QUANTICO.
Major duties
You will serve as the Tool Custodian for the Motor Vehicle Maintenance/Construction Equipment Repair shop by providing transportation, equipment maintenance, and repair services. You will collaborate with prime vendors to identify substitute items for provisions not-in-stock and/or not-carried. You will coordinate inventory management requirements for supplies and equipment. You will obtain quotations from suppliers to evaluate the terms and conditions of offer, proposed delivery, and offered price. You will prepare reports to inform management of supply inventory or supply orders. You will maintain records of tools used by the shop, initiate requests for replacement of broken or salvaged tools. You will compile, prepare and enter shop time and attendance data for appropriate supervisory certification. You will prepare and maintain accounting ledgers for repair parts, annual contract costs, and other branch expenditures. You will utilize a government supplied vehicle to transport and pick up parts as needed.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Use automated data processing systems to perform procurement functions; inventory supplies to confirm accurate stock levels of material and equipment; respond to customer inquiries regarding discrepancies involving stock inspections, shipments, storage, and adjustments; and draft response to inquiries from other activities concerning repair actions on repairable components.
