Construction Control Representative
What you'd do
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serve as project representative in charge of one or more construction projects in a geographic area. Major duties
Manage the contractor’s sequencing and phasing of complex, multi-phase construction projects to minimize disruptions to customer operations, ensure project milestones are achieved, and track and document all delays. Participate in the three-phase inspection process by conducting preparatory, initial, and follow-up inspections to verify compliance with contract requirements, plans, specifications, and safety standards. Provide on-site construction surveillance to ensure the contractor performs quality control and completes work in accordance with approved plans and specifications. Prepare daily reports, status updates, and other documentation to keep stakeholders and contractors informed of construction progress and project status. Coordinate with contractor representatives to interpret contract plans, specifications, and technical requirements. Review and discuss construction schedules, plans of operation, safety programs, shop drawings, project progress, and quality control reports to ensure the contractor fully understands and complies with contract requirements.

Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes:1) Reviewing construction plans and specifications, 2) Maintaining daily records of contractor work inspected, and 3) Monitoring contractor performance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
