Major duties
As the Senior Advisor for the Operational Environment (OE) for Combined Arms Center, the incumbent serves as the principal subject matter expert for both the T2COM G-2 and CAC on issues related to our potential adversaries and the OE. Leads advanced analysis of current and emerging foreign military approaches to war, capabilities, and technologies to identify threats and opportunities in support of CAC missions, which include integrating threat intelligence into leader development, training, and education (LDT&E) activities, into doctrine design, into integration across all army activities in the doctrine, organization, training, materiel, leadership/education, personnel, facilities, and policy (DOTMLPF-P) and in replicating the threat at home stations and at Army Combat Training Centers (CTCs). The Advisor provides the executive vision and strategic execution necessary to integrate threat analysis into all of these areas and to CAC downtrace elements, including all of the Centers of Excellence. By ensuring that sophisticated adversary intelligence is embedded directly into the modernization mission, the incumbent ensures that all CAC activities in the force development arena are informed by our best analysis of the threat and OE.

Inherent to this senior officer qualification is a deep understanding of the Intelligence enterprise and a shared commitment to the IC's core values. Technical Qualification - Mandatory Must possess and demonstrate performing and articulating advanced analysis of current and near-term foreign military approaches to war, capabilities and technologies to identify threats and opportunities in support of the Combined Arms Command in Doctrine, Training, Education and Leader Development (DTELD). Demonstrated ability to present complex analysis coherently to senior military and civilian decision makers and to apply those skills and analytic expertise across the command.
