Major duties
Identifies improperly functioning parts for repair or replacement using on-board computer diagnostic systems and other test equipment. Determine whether parts should be cleaned or replaced. Install, adjust and set automotive systems in accordance with manufacturer's specifications and tests the completed product. Knowledge of the various techniques for removing, replacing, cleaning and installing parts and components. Skill to make adjustments and settings and in the operation of tools and equipment used. Understanding of diagnostic and test equipment; the make-up and operation of systems and their interrelationship. Decides on the methods and techniques to use. Duties are performed independently in accordance with accepted trade practices and guides. Performs other duties as assigned.
What you need to qualify

A qualified candidate must possess the following: Be able to lift and carry weight up to 50 pounds Posses a valid motor vehicle operators permit Have work experience performing the identified duties Be able to work independently Highly preferred: Must have experience servicing and repairing air conditioning (AC) systems. Must have hands-on experience performing diagnostic troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and mechanical repairs on a diverse fleet. Will possess a current Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification (MUST be uploaded as part of the application package). Applicants that meet the Highly Preferred criteria will be referred to management for consideration first. All others may be referred if management does not make a selection from the Highly Preferred list. NOTE: The above minimum qualifications must be described within the duties of previous work experience listed on the applicant's resume and/or supporting documents. A copy of all documents must be submitted at the time of application.
