About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the 704TH MI Brigade, 742ND MI BTN, US Army Expeditionary OPS SPT, Fort Meade, MD.
Major duties
Executes cryptologic skills development for the NSA/CSS deployers and the instructors of the EOS in accordance with applicable NSA/CSS training standards and policies. Maintains credentials on current SIGINT Analytical tools and databases as an NSA/CSS adjunct faculty instructor in subject(s) related to expeditionary SIGINT capabilities. Prepares material and coordinates with the Deployment and Training leads and instructors/trainers required to execute technical and functional training of personnel in conducting or supporting the execution of NSA/CSS training requirements. Plans developmental activities or opportunities to maintain the technical skills and functional expertise of personnel conducting training. Assesses training material, unit feedback, and lessons learned to ensure currency of technical and functional training.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience managing tactical and national-level SIGINT collection, processing, production, and dissemination operations; developing and executing intelligence training policies, techniques, and procedures for SIGINT and/or Cryptologic operations; and collaborating with the intelligence community, NSA/CSS, and Intelligence Analyst deployers to identify and document tactical SIGINT and/or Cryptologic training requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-12). Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled. This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data.
