Major duties
You will serve as a Fleet Operations/Training Analyst in the Fleet Integration Branch at Strategic Systems Program (SSP) in Washington, DC. You will support operations and training development for the Nuclear Sea-Launched Cruise Missile (SLCM-N). You will collaborate with submarine force commands, Strategic Systems Programs (SSP), Naval Reactors, OPNAV, STRATCOM, NAVSEA, and other Department of War (DoW) stakeholders. . You will ensure seamless integration, certification, and operational readiness of Nuclear Sea-Launched Cruise Missile (SLCM-N) capabilities across designated naval platforms You will lead SLCM-N certification pathways for Fleet units, ensuring compliance with nuclear weapons handling, storage, and employment protocols. You will develop and refine operational concepts, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and deployment strategies to align SLCM-N capabilities with Combatant Command (COCOM) operational plans and strategic deterrence objectives. You will coordinate design, deployment and sustainment of SLCM-N training curricula, training systems, simulators, and equipment across submarine homeports and training centers in alignment with SSP directives and Nuclear Posture Review guidance. You will ensure training delivery meets nuclear safety, security, and personnel reliability certifications. You will prepare and analyze the training/operations budget and prepare reports on contractor performance. You will coordinate with engineering, logistics, security, and operational units to ensure successful SLCM-N integration into existing SSN infrastructure and procedures. You will develop/contribute to technical manuals, nuclear weapons employment doctrine, operational guidance, and TYCOM-level instructions for SLCM-N operations, maintenance, and training. You will ensure technical manuals, doctrine, operational guidance, and instructions are in alignment with DoW nuclear policy, Navy strategic guidance, and Joint Staff directives.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-02 (GS-11 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: developing and managing strategic weapons NC3 systems, submarine platform integration, Fleet operations/training/certification, and nuclear weapons handling protocols and leading, communicating, and coordinating tasks in high-stakes operational environments and cross-functional external teams.
