What you'd do

You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (MILITARY) in the MILITARY COMMUNITY MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT of BUREAU OF NAVAL PERSONNEL.

Major duties

You will interpret current and proposed military personnel action regulations to determine the impact on an organization. You will apply analytical and evaluative methods/techniques to solve military manpower and personnel problems. You will recommend analytical-based initiatives to support implementation of strategic military workforce planning program goals. You will implement strategies to strengthen the operations of multiple Military (Officer) communities.

What you need to qualify

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Advising on matters pertaining to accession planning including direct accessions and reserve recalls, formal and administrative board selections, strength planning, promotion planning, and billet management; 2) Assisting and advising on post graduate educational planning; 3) Managing and utilizing military personnel information data systems providing analytical administrative support; 4) Assisting and advising on principles to attract, develop, manage, and retain a high quality and diverse workforce and 5) Providing manpower and human resource management advice and making recommendations to military Flag officers and Senior Executive Service (SES) civilians aiding in the planning and decision making process.
