This volunteer, project-based opportunity to support real Federal missions, while gaining experience and career-ready skills. Students must be enrolled no less than half-time in an accredited trade school, technical or vocational institute, junior college, college, university, or other accredited educational institution. With this project, you will support training sessions, eLMS data tracking, and professional development initiatives.

Major duties

This Semester of Service employee will serve as a versatile addition to our training team, providing essential operational and instructional support across several key areas. They will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy of our training worksheets and ensuring our training site is consistently updated with the latest resources. Administratively, they will assist in gathering data for the Executive Director¿s report and will be trained to manage data entry within ELMS to streamline our tracking processes. Beyond office support, this individual will help process training sessions, assist in teaching courses to increase our instructional capacity, and manage the specific documentation required for CLEs. This comprehensive involvement will ensure our training initiatives are executed efficiently while providing the employee with deep exposure to professional development management. The student will perform selected on the job assignments and receive instruction on agency or departmental goals, objectives, regulations, procedures, occupational hazards, safety standards, inspection techniques and work processes. Preferred experience and/or education in information technology and/or information systems. APPOINTMENT: If selected, your volunteer role may not exceed a total of 120 days after completing educational requirements. Participation in this program may be terminated at any time. AGREEMENT: All participants must sign a written Volunteer Service Agreement with their manager that clearly identifies expectations of the appointment such as duties, length of appointment, work schedule, training, mentorship etc.
