SUPERVISORY QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST (AIRCRAFT)
What you'd do
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST (AIRCRAFT) in the COMPLIANCE & QUALITY DEPT of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST.
Major duties
You will plan, organize, and direct the activities of assigned Compliance and Quality Department section or Branch, ensuring the assigned area complies with legal and regulatory requirements, and meets customer needs. You will develop goals and objectives that integrate into the organization and the Compliance and Quality Department objectives. You will provide technical advice and assistance on all matters related to quality, including verification of materials, products, processes, documentation etc. You will ensμre the accomplishment of QA functions related to verifying, monitoring, investigating, auditing, and resolving quality problems through all phases of production/rework and manufacturing in all areas of assigned responsibility. You will schedule and review quality audits, ensuring proper documentation of deficiencies and that corrective/preventive actions are accomplished to preclude recurrence.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes the following: 1)Utilizing knowledge of QA methods, principles, and practices, as well as NAVAIR, OPNAV, COMFRC, and local instructions related to QA methodology; 2) Performing work related to complex product characteristics with complicated inspection, test, and evaluation requirements. Knowledge of aircraft and related systems, components, depot-level maintenance, production processes, equipment, and technical data. Knowledge of regulations and practices associated with special process certification and production certification programs; 3) Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, work orders, and other technical materials associated with the production process; 4) Conducting quality audits and investigations, analyze findings, and develop recommendations for improvements; 5) Identifying and classifying quality characteristics of aerospace products and processes.
