FLEET AND FAMILY SUPPORT CENTER DIRECTOR
What you'd do
You will serve as a FLEET AND FAMILY SUPPORT CENTER DIRECTOR in the Naval Base Guam Fleet and Family Support Division of US NAVAL BASE GUAM. A Cost-of-Living-Allowance (COLA) of 11.88% will be added to the stated salary. Guam is designated as a medically underserved area. Military medical facilities offer space-available primary and limited specialty medical care; however, services are not guaranteed
Major duties
You will plan, develop, direct, supervise, and administer Fleet and Family Support Programs (FFSP) programs and services for eligible personnel and their families, including geographically separated units, to support readiness and retention issues. You will develop long and short-range plans and recommendations for new techniques, criteria or policy designed to ensure availability of proactive programs and services that meet the needs for the military and their family. You will serve as the principal advisor to the Installation Commanding Officer and professional colleagues on social problems and human service matters related to personal and family adjustment. You will serve on installation and community committees, boards, and counsels as a subject matter expert in the area of quality of life for military personnel and their families. You will apply EEO principles to aspects of personnel management to ensure equal treatment of all subordinates in areas of work and management to include hiring, training, work assignments, schedules, discipline, performance management counseling.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Planning, developing, directing, and administering Fleet and Family Support Programs and services for military personnel and family members..
