Major duties

You will analyze program procedures to identify the level of compliance with regulations (e.g., Navy Working Capital Fund, federal acquisition regulations, civilian personnel regulations). You will prepare reports detailing capabilities identified from trend, deficiency, or accomplishment analysis. You will prepare written reports from analysis of financial databases. You will interpret or develop evaluation policy or procedures for an organization. You will analyze program or project issues to determine solutions to meet objectives within established timelines or financial constraints.

What you need to qualify

For the GS-11 position: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1)Utilizing advanced spreadsheet functions (e.g., Excel pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) or general financial databases to extract, synthesize, and format quantitative reports; 2) Applying general budgeting, accounting, or financial management principles to track and analyze financial execution data; 3)Assisting with Working Capital Fund (WCF) OR General Fund (GF) analysis for preparing budgets for program execution; 4) Analyzing, validating and reconciling of fiscal accounts utilizing financial systems; and 5) Gathering financial documentation for funding requests. For the GS-09 position: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Assisting with financial analysis for preparing budgets for program execution;2) Analyzing or validating of fiscal accounts utilizing financial systems; 3) Assisting with gathering assembling, and analyzing quantitative or qualitative data to identify trends or draw basic conclusions as well as compiling financial documentation for funding requests; and 4) Using standard office software to input data, maintain records, and generate standard reports.
