What you'd do

You will serve as a GENERAL ENGINEER in the FLEET SUPPRT TEAM (FST) DEPARTMENT, FST ENGINEERING DIVISION of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST.

Major duties

You will create and establish innovative and effective program policies and procedures for aircraft, engines, support equipment, avionics and other major systems as required by the services, other DOD activities and foreign partners. You will manage, coordinate and integrate diverse program efforts. You will utilize concepts, theories, principles and practices of nontraditional professional engineering functions such as reliability; maintainability; human factors; integrated logistics support; logistics support analysis, etc.

What you need to qualify

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing some or all of the following duties: 1) Providing Naval Aviation engineering solutions to Fleet Support Teams, Program Managers - Air (PMA), and/or Program Executive Offices (PEO); 2) Leading Naval Aviation projects, developing findings, and briefing higher level leadership; and 3) Advising on engineering courses of actions, including risk mitigation and acceptance.
