INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (SYSANALYSIS)

Major duties
You will serve as a technical expert for Information Technology (IT) in support of Marine Corps (MC), Department of the Navy (DoN), and Department of Defense (DoD) programs. You will participate in the entire lifecycle of software applications, including design, development, testing, installation, and support, while also engaging in technical reviews and risk management. You will apply analytical processes to plan, design, and implement new or improved information systems that meet customer business requirements. You will conduct needs analyses, consult with customers to define requirements, develop system specifications, and prepare business cases for IT solutions. You will manage or assist in managing complex IT projects, coordinating with various organizations for the planning, development, and implementation of new systems. You will provide comprehensive support for all testing levels (acceptance, beta, unit, QA), manage concurrent development, and deliver user training. You will formulate, recommend, and implement configuration management policies to document and control system characteristics throughout the development lifecycle.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or NH-02 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Expert knowledge in Systems Analysis for Information Technology systems. 2. Knowledge of risk management processes (e.g., methods for assessing and mitigating risk). 3. Knowledge of how system components are installed, integrated, and optimized. 4. Conduct risk analysis, feasibility study, and/or trade-off analysis to develop, document and refine functional requirements and specification. 5. Coordinate with systems architects and developers, as needed, to provide oversight in the development of design solutions 6. 26.
