SUPERVISORY PHYSICAL SECURITY SPECIALIST
What you'd do
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY PHYSICAL SECURITY SPECIALIST in the FORCE PROTECTION PROGRAM DIRECTORATE of HDQTRS NDW.
Major duties
You will interpret and evaluate security program policy and guidance to determine potential organizational impact You will perform inspections to verify correct procedures and safeguarding of systems and materials are followed. You will analyze the Physical Security program of structures and facilities within the command and tenant activities. You will develop and manage security programs to protect critical technologies, information, property, or other program asset You will assign work to employees based on skill level and evaluated work performance. You will formulate written responses to justify modifications to programs or systems.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Assessing installation and regional antiterrorism and force protection (ATFP) programs to determine compliance with higher headquarters law enforcement, antiterrorism, and physical security requirements; 2) Developing and recommending plan of action and milestones (POAM)/command improvement plans (CIP) to correct identified non-compliant ATFP program requirements; 3) Assisting in the research making policy recommendations to implement all levels of ATFP requirements; 4) Advising top level installation and region leadership and security subject matter experts on developments and advances in security to forecast requirements and improve efficiency of agency-wide ATFP programs. **NOTE: This information must be supported in your resume to be considered for the position.** Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management web site: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/#url=List-by-Occupational-Series Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).
