As a Sr. Human Resources Specialist (Performance Management), you will serve as an expert advisor and the national focal point for ensuring the performance management program is effectively managed and aligns with the OCC's strategic objectives. This position is located in the Office of Human Capital / Workforce Relations & Performance Management's (WRPM). Location of this position is Washington, DC

Major duties

As a Sr. Human Resources Specialist (Performance Management), you will: Serve as a senior level expert on the performance management program and policy and develop, manage, coordinate, monitor, and administer the performance management program. Assume the responsibility for the development and administration of performance management policies and carry out complex studies and projects involving program development, evaluation and/or operations including providing management advisory services. Collaborate with other program managers and OCC managers to identify agency strategic objectives, goals, and long-range plans. Envision how new products or services can enhance organizational functional capabilities. Monitor and track the performance management program, including ensuring that key dates in the performance appraisal cycle are met and documented in the agencies internal tracking systems. Develop reports of activities and accomplishments for OCC managers as well as support any internal or external monitoring of the performance management system and annual appraisal cycle. Conduct research and analysis on policy issues to formulate recommendations and stay abreast of changes in federal laws and regulations that may impact OCC's employee and labor relations programs.

What you need to qualify

You must meet the following requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of this announcement: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the NB-V band level or GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Examples of specialized experience for this position include: Experience providing policy guidance or recommendations to managers relating to performance management, in order to enhance organizational effectiveness, improvement and performance. And Experience preparing ad hoc reports and performing analysis of employee performance data to provide integrated solutions to organization performance management problems/issues. The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector, or through volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
