INTERDISCIPLINARY GENERAL ENGINEER/ARCHITECT (PROGRAM MANAGER)
What you'd do
You will serve as a Program Manager (ECH III) in the Planning, Design and Construction Directorate (PDC), Programs and Project Management Division, Program Management Branch of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND ATLANTIC.
Major duties
You will provide life-cycle program management for assigned programs with a focus on aligning programs with the corresponding portfolio. You will provide technical reports, briefings, and analysis for Echelon II/III or Senior/Flag level use. You will utilize NAVFAC systems to leverage available data. You will serve as expert consultant and program evaluator for Inspector-General (IG) investigations and other special reviews.
What you need to qualify
This position has a Selective Placement Factor that will be used to screen out ineligible candidates. The selective placement factor is: Current registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Architect (RA) in any state, District of Columbia, Guam or Puerto Rico. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your current license or registration with your application package. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing guidance in applying appropriate laws, executive orders, regulations, and polices related to any construction program; 2) Managing the receipt, determination of requirement, and allocation and disbursement of design and construction funds for a construction program; 3) Reviewing and coordinating approval of all construction contract awards, escalations, and reprogramming actions.
